What To Do in Rosemary Beach, Florida - For a Girls’ Trip or Bachelorette Party

30A Bachelorette Parties are super popular these days so let’s talk about it because I just went on one. All over TikTok and Instagram are all the girlies packing it up and heading to 30A for their bachelorette. You guys know I like to keep it real.. so here we go. First, let me just say, it is absolutely beautiful here! It’s so new, the buildings are the neutral color palette of your dreams, and it’s truly picture-perfect. peep these pics I took —>

Now, before we get any further in this blog, if you are looking for a fun party atmosphere for your bachelorette, this is not the place for you. This town consists of mainly families and couples on their babymoons so it is very relaxed and low key. Even at 9:30 PM on a Saturday night was pretty quiet. There’s also not a lot of restaurants so that’s something to keep in mind if food is your speciality and you have a big group, you will need to book months in advance. One last thing to mention, it’s very expensive for what you get (IMO). So, I would suggest trying to cook most meals at home. Okay whew, glad I got that off my chest. I know it’s probably an unpopular opinion but it’s mine :)

It is a beautiful town and perfect for a relaxing girls weekend or family vacation. Now I’m going to tell you everything you need to know!

how to get there:

Since it’s not really an easy place to get to. You have two options: drive or fly. There are three airports: Destin-Fort Walton (VPS), Panama City Beach (ECP), and Pensacola (PNS). ECP is going to be the closest one, about a 20 minute drive from the city center. Pensacola is going to be a lot further, it’s about an 1.5 hour drive. So keep this in mind when looking at flight options and try to time it to be with other people in your group.

how to get around:

Uber/Lyft is readily available and I found it to be fairly priced. However, I will preface that the traffic can be pretty bad if it’s a busy weekend so keep that in mind when trying to get to reservations. The house we stayed at had a free tram that made things a little easier. Another option would be to rent a car. Parking is relatively easy to find except when you’re downtown (near the Pearl).

where to stay:

We stayed at a VRBO with a rental company called My Vacation Haven in the Seacrest Beach community. This was nice because they had a free tram I was talking about. We also walked to coffee and home from dinner, it was about a 10 minute walk. So I would consider it a very walkable town. Anywhere along HWY 30A will be a good place to have the house so you feel close to everything.

HAVE A BEACH DAY

We will start with the obvious - a beach day! Nothing beats a classic beach day or even hang by the pool if that’s an option. The water is such a pretty turquoise with white sand beaches. There are umbrellas' you can rent if you don’t have one - they were about $60 so when shared with a big group, the cost isn’t too bad.

RENT A BOAT

Renting a boat is never a bad idea in my opinon. You could rent a boat through 30A Pontoon Boat Rentals and have a boating day.

HIRE A CHEF FOR A DINNER AT HOME

Rosemary Beach is a fairly small town so if you want to have a night in or don’t feel like going out to dinner when everyone gets in town, then this is such a great idea! We didn’t do this due to our schedule but we definitely considered it! Here are a few options I found in my research:

Private Chef Companies: Swiftly Catered, The Polished Chef, Eclat30a, or Mr Hibachi At Home.

BONFIRE ON THE BEACH

Cap off the night with a cozy beach bonfire. There are two local companies that I considered who offer bonfire setups complete with seating, s'mores kits as an add on, a speaker, and a fire attendant. This was so fun, I definitely recommend going at right before sunset for the best views like in my pics above!

30A Blaze - This is the company I used and we had a great experience. They were super responsive and answered all my questions. They also texted us when our setup was ready with a picture - highly recommend.

BRUNCH & SHOPPING

We did brunch at George’s and it was delicious - I got the crab salad pictured above. They open at 11 AM and to get a table, you stand in line. I would say it’s competitive and they don’t take reservations so make sure you get in line to get a spot! It’s also a great place for drinks and dinner.

Next you can take a peak at all the shops around Rosemary Beach - there are some cute ones but don’t expect to find anything reasonable if you are on a budget. But it’s fun to window shop!

WINE TASTING

Do some wine tasting at Neat Bottle Shop and Tasting Room. I also was recommend this for great cocktails by the neighbors next to the house we were staying at. This is a fun unique activity if you are a wine lover like me!! My mom and I peaked in here and tried some cool tequila and talked to the worker there for a little.

DINNER & DRINKS

And you definitely have to throw a nice dinner with some sunset drinks in the itinerary. There are a few good options for food below:

Pescado - They are supposed to have one of the best rooftop bars and it’s mainly seafood.

Citizen - Good food serving coastal food, I’d make reservations in advance.

Edward’s - They are known for their wine so calling all wine lovers. This is another spot that doesn’t take reservations so plan accordingly.

La Crema Tapas & Chocolate - Good spot if you want an unique dining experience or a small lunch.

The Pearl - Definitely go to the rooftop and have a drink or just go take pictures! The Havana Beach Bar at the bottom of the pearl also has live music at night making it another good spot.

That’s a wrap on what to do in 30A. Would love to hear if you go and see your pictures so be sure to tag me! If you have any questions or need assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out via Instagram :)
